Chemical etching, a process that dates back to the Middle Ages, allows us to transfer the most complex artwork to a brass, bronze, copper or stainless steel surface. When used in combination with Sign 2000’s cast and precision tooled plaques, our etched medallions and emblems provide the precision needed to accentuate any plaque or marker.
Premium etched plaques in bronze, brass, copper or stainless steel and can be produced as thin as 1/16" thick. Laser engraved anodized aluminum or polished granite.
Etched photos are created with halftone images to provide a permanent, exterior-grade solution.
We have a stringent in-house laboratory testing process for all metals and paints. Our finishes have withstood thousands of hours’ exposure to salt fog, moisture, heat cycles, and UV light so we can confidently say they’ll last a lifetime.
Sign 2000 guarantees all its exterior products for life.
Our Stainless Steel Letters & Plaques contain 28-40% recycled materials and 100% of our internally generated scrap is recycled.
Flat Cut Bronze Letters & Plaques contain 60-75% recycled materials and 100% of the internally generated scrap is recycled.
Our Flat Brass Letters & Plaques contain 60-75% recycled materials and 100% of our internally generated scrap is recycled.
Our Copper Letters & Plaques contain 60-75% recycled materials and 100% of the internally generated scrap is recycled.
All etched plaques 1/4" thick and thicker are drilled and tapped.
Plaques thinner than 1/4" can be stud mounted with welded stud bosses.
Strips of very high bond tape are applied to the back of the plaque.
Holes are drilled through the surface of the plaque. Specify screw size and if the holes should be countersunk. (Plaques 1/16” thick cannot be countersunk and will include round head screws.)
Stud Mounted letters are installed with Mounting Patterns.
